Misir Carsisi (Spice Market)

Like a smaller, more local, less crowded version of the Grand Bazaar. Worth a visit and a good place to escape some of the hustle from the water.

Very cute place !! the gallery is very nice and colorful If you want to shop, just walk outside, around the gallery - You will find good prices and a lot of choice of everything For shopping, much better than the grand bazaar

Enjoyed this much more than the Grand bazaar. Attractive to see all the spices and Turkish delight. We bought some Turkish delight after having been given a sample (delicious), yes we probably overpaid but were happy with our purchase as we enjoyed the experience.

Mısır Çarşısı, also known as the Egyptian Bazaar, is a 17th-century market known for selling spices, yet what was once probably an important place for trade is now nothing but a tourist space selling the same blended teas, commercial spices and knock-off goods as everywhere else in the area. Go for the architecture, but shop elsewhere.

We were defrauded by a vendor at the market named Alla Grup. My wife thought she was buying about $160-$170 in spices and sweets -- a huge purchase. The sales slip was listed in Turkish lira .... It turned out we were charged $1700. .... Be VERY careful purchasing stuff there.
