Cookistan Istanbul Cooking Classes

Cookistan I attended a cooking class with my 13-year old daughter. We really enjoyed our evening with Aysin and Emine. They made us feel welcome, the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable and everything was meticulously organised. Booking was quick and easily arranged by WhatsApp message. I have mobility problems but their place was easily accessible by taxi and Aysin suggested leaving out the walking tour to make it easier for me. Everything else was not a problem as their place is on one level. The space is really beautifully designed and well thought through. It was also very clean. Emine prepared everything in advance and tidied up after us so that nothing ever felt rushed or like a lot of work. Aysin provided a lot of information on Turkish food. She fluently speaks English and German. She is a brilliant host and conversation flows easily. She has many interesting stories to tell! We cooked 5 different dishes and also made the classic pumpkin dessert, which we had with Turkish coffee after sampling our dishes during dinner. We cannot recommend the cooking class with Aysin enough and wish we had done it earlier in our trip as it also provided it with a lot of information and ideas for our visit.

I loved it!!! This cooking class was more expansive then my six nights stay in a hostel but it was worth every single euro!! The women are so friendly, it was such a nice atmosphere and the food tastes so so yummi. Highly recommend

What a wonderful experience. After a nice stroll through the neighborhood visiting various shops it was off to cooking school. Our instructors, Ms Ozge and Ms. Katia did an outstanding job explaining the various dishes that we prepared. My favorite was Dolma, stuffed grape leaves , but all the food was delicious. The class is at a good pace. We were not rushing from one dish to the next. One thing I will always remember is the size of a Turkish “pinch”. Thanks ladies for a great afternoon.

Had the most amazing time! Had heard so much about Aysin and her team, that I had to try it myself and wow, what an experience. Aysin is passionate about what she does and is the best representation of Turkish hospitality and pride. Emine, who assists her, is super professional, fun and kind-hearted. She will also make you feel at home from the open she opens her smile! A day of fun, knowledge, history and stories to tell everyone upon your return. And the food… oh, the food! The cooking class offered by Cookistan is an amazing opportunity to learn more about Turkish food and cooking in a very friendly and unique setting. Although the experience has already very good reviews on Google, it still ended up exceeding my expectations. The place is perfect, all the recipes were delicious and - thanks to the amazing instructors - relatively easy to prepare. I would definitely recommend booking a class with them, it is worth the money! Thanks again for everything!!
