Xamam

The building was constructed and used as a typical double hammam during the Ottoman occupation at the end of the 17th century. Both sections had a large room on the north called the “cold” covered by a large hemispherical dome. On the south there was the “lukewarm” and finally the “hot”, which at the men’s bath was a cruciform area with four separate rooms on the corners.Nowadays, you can discover more of the male bath and some of the women’s parts. THE STORE XAMAM opened its doors to the public in the summer of 2002 combines the unique aesthetics of the building with the creations of renowned Greek fashion designers available within. The business’s motto, “philosophy to wear”, embodies the timeless nature of the designs and the attention given to each customer to create for them an intergrated and individual style or “look” from XAMAM’ s professional and highly trained staff. Natural materials such as cotton, silk, linen, wool, leather are used for the most of the items in the store.
