Terra Verde is a collective of fair and solidarity trade that has been active in Chania for over a decade. Its legal form is Social Cooperative Enterprise. We strive for: The autonomy and decent living of the producer Quality and affordable prices for the consumer Respect for nature Relationships of trust and reciprocity, with the participation of all involved Collective struggle to change the harsh conditions of exploitation imposed by the market, multinationals and intermediaries Promoting a network of distribution and production that respect nature and human labor Increasing consumer's autonomy by promoting the idea that each and every one of us doesn't just have to stay in the role of a consumer, but can gradually meet (by his own) some needs as a producer A concept of product, which is not limited under a brand name, but is a function of geography, history, the hard work, as well as the collective actions, of people who produce it.
