Eyup Sultan Mosque

I went here after my full day tour of Istanbul in order to visit the tomb of Hadhrat Abu Ansari PBUH, a companion of the Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH. It was an honour to go and make dua for him & pay my respects to him, and also pray inside of the Eyup Sultan Mosque for the rest of my family and friends. It was an honour to experience the calmness and sheer light of his piety and bravery as the noble companion of Nabi Muhammed SAW. The Mosque itself was an architectural marvel just like every other Mosque in Istanbul and in Turkey as a whole.

This was such a surprise! The guide I was with suggested that we stopped by. Unfortunately it was at the very beginning of my trip so I did not immediately grab how unique this was. Walking through the cemetery was also very interesting on its own terms. Bottom line: visit Hagia Sophia first and then come here. You’ll be wowed!

Beautiful mosque. We visited at a time when there were not a lot of people there. It was a lovely quiet time and we enjoyed a blessed visit.
