About

The Rahmi M Koç Museum is the first major museum in Turkey dedicated to the history of Transport, Industry and Communications. Housed in magnificent buildings - themselves prime examples of industrial archaeology - on the shore of the historic Golden Horn, the collection contains thousands of items from gramophone needles to full size ships and aircraft.

Wonderful museum in a good location. Easy to get to with public transportation. The collections of Mr Kroc are so well displayed.

I was recommended to visit here by a local. Well, that was a great recommendation. The museum is kind of a "collection of all the things which appeal to men and boys" I guess, but I'm sure girls and women can enjoy too. There is a really good car collection, I was interested to see the Turkish cars like Tofas and Anadol there also. They have also bikes, motorbikes, steam engines, boats, outboards, trains, trams, a ship, a submarine, a helicopter and some planes. The thing I found unexpected and very interesting was the wreck of the B24 Hadley's Harem. Allow plenty of time to see everything, its really great!

As we love old and classic cars this was the best stop in Istanbul. We spent over three hours and had a wonderful experience.

I agree with previous comment. Daylight robbery, no more. Now it costs 300 TL. Two months ago it was 150 TL, in November - 200 TL. Now 300 TL.

250TL to enter this place is way too much. They recently increased the ticket price from 150TL, previously a few months ago it was around 65TL. There are cars, trams, trains and boats to see but nothing special. And many unruly shouting kids.
