Lovely park and it was full of different coloured tulips when we visited in April. Well worth a visit just to sit on a bench and have a breather after sightseeing in SultanAhmet. It’s only a couple minutes’ walk down the hill from the Haglia Sophia.
Istanbul is a city that never stops giving. The mosques and palaces and parks. From Byzantines to the Ottoman Empire, what history they created in the former Constantinople? I passed the palace and wandered into Gulhane Park. The flowers, fountains and many trees to explore. I believe it will be breathtaking during the summer with abundant flowers. The palace walls remind me of the city of York in the United Kingdom. On leaving the park, head towards the Bosphorus strait and absorb the Turkish way of life. I will be back in July to witness the blooms.
A really nice park and it's huge. Great time to walk around and take in the fresh air and it's all free too. But they do have food and dessert vendors inside.
Great location and fairly easy to find. Very well maintained during the winter, would probably be even better during the Spring/Summer.
Probably the most popular tourist park in Istanbul. Lovely walking paths and green space convenient to the Bazaar and Hagia Sophia. The playground was a bit small and very crowded, but still worthwhile.
