Running down the old historic streets of Istanbul we ended up in Halic. Tired and thirsty we had chay and simit for lunch.

The place of Halic in Istanbul is really amazing. Next to amazing views of the water from both sides. Also the metro station of Halic is really great being located on a bridge. You can walk both ways and both ways are as amazing to walk to.

The views of this water body is magnificent, especially at dawn or dusk, when the hues of the sunlight play on the water and the different structures along its banks and bridges across. The views of the city, old and new, from water is equally stunning.

The Golden Horn (in Turkish Halic) divides two European parts of the two continent city. It's a sea inlet of the Bosphorus strait stretching inland westwards. There are many attractions along it, starting from the Galata bridge and Eminonu area all the way to Balat district. Best views of almost the entire inlet are from the Pierre Loti hill.

It is like small bosphorus or like lake in the center of City. Pierre Loti Hill is best place to see Golden Horn. You can drink Tea and Eat Turkish delicious "Gozleme" at Pierre Loti Hill.
