I researched this place before I arrived, and it did not disappoint. I had an idea of what I wanted so everything went very quick and smoothly. There was no pressure to buy more things. It is not on the cheap side, but the fact that it utilizes the ancient expertise and talents of Turkish families around the country justifies the cost. The quality is exceptional and I'm very happy with my purchases! The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. I have zero buyers remorse, and the blanket and towel I bought bring a smile to my face everyday. Amazing products I highly recommend.

In 2022 my wife and I were given the tip of visiting Jennifer’s Hamam from close friends who had visited the last time they visited Istanbul. I’ll admit at first reference, we were a little skeptical, but we went anyways. I’m so very glad we did. The service is amazing, their selection is incredible, and the artistry of the weavers is top notch. We are in love with the textiles we bought during our first visit. Flash forward a year and we decided we wanted to get more from the shop, they helped us via a Zoom call that lasted way longer than I think my wife and I thought, but again the service smashed our expectations. They were so friendly, even on a Zoom call, and we never felt as though we were being a burden on the shop. If you are new to the Turkish textiles, then do yourself the favor and visit this shop. They are incredibly friendly, helpful, and they have an amazing product. We can’t wait to visit in person and see what new designs they have to offer!

The best towels in the world! We bought our first towels some 10 years ago in Istanbul. These are the most absorbent and quick-drying towels I've ever seen. By a mile. After 10 years they are pretty much as good as new. The care instructions are important (never use softener and air dry if you can). I've just bought a second set online, both the virtual shopping experience and the shipping were faultless. If you buy online, look for the Canadian flag in the top of the display window to ensure that they are in Jennifer’s Hamam and not one of the copy-cat shops selling non-organic, machine made items.   It’s also worth mentioning that they do not bargain.   Other important points to remember is that they are unique for the following reasons: all the threads and workmanship are Turkish, all items are made on old-style shuttled looms, with silk, linen and/or GOTS certified organic Turkish cotton; their quality is unsurpassed not just in the Turkish market place, but in the world.

While I'd like to say that we happened upon this little gem, have to admit that we came here on the recommendation of a friend, and so glad that we did! Look for the Canadian flag in the window so that you know you've come to the right shop in Arasta Bazaar, but what an experience... The staff in the shop quickly realised that we needed to head over to the Showroom for a more extensive array - 3 floors of amazing textiles. As others have noted, the quality and styles are beyond compare and the towels and peshtamels truly get better as you use them. I was traveling with just a cabin bag for my trip so restrained my purchasing while I was there - big mistake. I really should have just bought everything I wanted and bought another suitcase. The prices are definitely better when you shop in person. Also, it was fantastic to Aussie expat Greg helping us and to meet Jennifer while we were there as well! I came home, used my linen peshtamel once and immeditely knew I had to order another for myself and more as gifts. Ordering online was just as easy and the towels arrived just two days after they were shipped! (From Turkey to Chicago). I don't know when I will next be in Istanbul, but when I am, I will definitely be shopping at Jennifer's Hamam to see what other new and lovely designs are available.

Excellent quality and attentive and informative sales staff ensured we knew all about the weavers, how to care for our new towels, and how they will become an heirloom. They have certainly held up to the test of time so far! In fact, they have gotten better with age (nearly a year later).
