I had a very enjoyable few hours in the shop. Fascinating to learn about how the carpets are made and of their history. Hakan showed us great hospitality and unlike with other dealers, we were never rushed or felt like we were being “sold”. Shipping was reasonable and very fast. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in Istanbul.

Few Years ago I walk in this Street and look for a Sewer because my Wallet the Zipper was broken. This Time my Bag was broken and I remind this small Store. It is not Part of the Business to repair / sew Bags but the kind Man did it. He told me interesting Stories and this maybe the only Store for Carpets and small Gifts for Home they don't try to Stress you to buy Stuff. The two Business Mens just let me watch inside in a relax Vibe. My Bag was really good repair too. Normaly I don't write Reviews about Stores but now I change my Mind because the Service is so fantastic I want support this small Store with my Review.

Of all the rug shops I have been to in Turkey, this is my absolute favorite! Hamit has a lovely collection of antique Turkish dowry rugs. He was very generous with his time and knowledge as he showed us piece after piece, explaining the age of the rug, the region from which it came, what the symbols meant, and what was used to dye each yarn color. Hamit exudes Turkish hospitality while sharing his deep knowledge of the history and culture of the woven arts. Even my teenagers were enthralled with seeing and learning about the rugs, kilims, saddle bags, and other pieces that Hamit showed us.

Nice little rug store where prices are fixed, which is great for people like me who can't bargain at all. At least, you get a fair price right away and even a discount if you're also a guest of the Osmanhan Hotel. (It's the same owner, Hamir Bey) The store doesn't only have rugs but also carpets, jewelry and small souvenirs made out of animal bones. I got a nice little bracelet, as a gift, after my purchase.
