I have been to Istanbul three times before and I never knew about Yildiz park until my fourth visit. I only found out about it because I was looking for a beautiful park to spend some time in and I stumbled upon this park. I was amazed if how beautiful it was, the landscape is amazing. The serenity and the peaceful feeling that overcomes you is wonderful. The park is place on a hill so there’s a lot of slops to walk up, but believe me it’s all worth it. I didn’t get to see the full park, but I am planning to next time I’m in Istanbul. If I was a resident of Istanbul I would want to visit the park every day. An absolute heaven on earth.
Gülhane park was beautiful in summer. It was different from my last visit: Unfortunately, there were way more tourists than locals. You can see how people enjoy life outside. Nevertheless we also witnessed that men from one special country speaking one special language tried to contact women who were walking along the park alone. How sad!
If you are in the area of this park please take a look, lovely park, great to relax or have a picnic or a stroll :)
Yildiz Park is extremely beautiful in spring. You can enjoy nature at its best without being bothered by tourists everywhere you go. There are a lot of possibilities to relax on benches or even in pavilions.
Nice seines of green grace, trees and beautiful flower. It’s a perfect place for a family picnic day or for 2 lovers to spend a romantic time. Excellent place for a good walk. But to be honest, no entertainment more then that. I liked it but prefer other botanical gardens in other countries much more like in Tbilissi, Borjomi, Moscow, Batumi, Alexandria and even in Algiers.
